You may have heard of him. Maybe you have no idea who he is. But if you live in Seattle and find yourself in a quandary when no one is around to help, Phoenix Jones just might be your savior. He’s been fighting crime in Seattle for the last four and half years putting a budding mixed martial arts career on hold to help better his city.
It all started when Jones (real identity Ben Fodor) was walking with his toddler son and realized that his car had been burglarized. His son fell and cut himself on the glass from the car broken window and at that moment Fodor decided that he was going to dedicate his life to making the streets of Seattle a safer place for his son. Hence Phoenix Jones was born and Ben Fodor’s MMA future was left behind. Others soon followed and with a legion of fans and also a legion of non-fans the crime fighting super hero team have managed to reduce crime in their hometown.
Now after four years away from the cage and his finances drained Fodor is looking to re-establish what could’ve been, signing a lucrative contract to fight in the World Series of Fighting MMA combat organization. Fodor is literally fighting for the life of “Phoenix Jones”
“When it comes down to upgrading my Super Hero gear and there’s a check in it for exactly the right number to fight someone, i said why not?”. Fodor has no doubt that he would’ve achieved champion status in MMA’s elite organization the UFC. Now it’s time to find out if he still has what it takes to reach the top of the sport. And what could be better then an MMA champion actually being a real life super hero.
