The Making Of Patrón – Happy New Year
At SocialUnderground.com one of our main goals is to teach our readers. So that you learn. So that you know how to do it, or how it gets done. To educate ourselves is to better ourselves and in celebration of the new year we’re going to show you how Patrón gets made.
By the time a bottle leaves the factory, sixty different people have looked at that bottle – Ed Brown – CEO
Patrón is made through a long patient process that starts with the finest Blue Agave that takes a whopping eight years to mature. Agave is often mistaken for a Cactus however it’s actually a succulent that belongs to the Lily family.
The original Patrón Tequila was produced by Casa 7 Leguas, one of the oldest Mexican distilleries. St. Maarten Spirits (owners John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley) purchased the brand rights in 1989 and in 2002 they moved production to a new distillery. That’s the same John Paul that’s the co-founder of Paul Mitchell hair products.
Patrón is revered as “premium” in “taste and sophistication” and to this day is produced by the very same Master Distiller Francisco Alcaraz since 1989. Patrón is sold in individually-numbered glass bottles. No two bottles are the same.
Please remember to drink responsibly and have a Safe and Happy New Year
