Don’t Be Evil To Stream Live from PianoFightFilms
The Department of Badassery is embarking on one last side mission in the final week for the world premiere run of Bennett Fisher’s Don’t Be Evil, by live streaming the play for audiences across the globe to enjoy. The critically acclaimed dark comedy about the surveillance state closes out it’s run this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm at San Francisco’s hottest entertainment venue, PianoFight. Tickets are still available on Goldstar.com (for half-price.) and on DepartmentofBadassery.com.
The run began historically, with The Department partnering with CloserVR to film Don’t Be Evil for Virtual Reality content to be released in chapters at DepartmentofBadassery.com/VR. The venture, premiering a play in VR and live onstage, was a first. For it’s Friday performance, The Department partners with PianoFightFilms to live stream Don’t Be Evil, opening up the play to a worldwide audience for the first time. The PianoFightFilms stream is being designed, engineered and shot by Ron Vargas.
To watch the live stream, you can do two things: Go to PianoFightFilms’ channel on Youtube and subscribe (do that anyway) to get the links for all their live streamed shows. There will be several other shows streamed in the coming days.
Or, you can tune in right here Friday Night at 8 pm Pacific Time and watch Bennett Fisher’s Don’t Be Evil: Live Stream Edition on the player below:
If you haven’t been, PianoFight is a groundbreaking restaurant/bar/multi-stage entertainment complex that is bringing artists and patrons of all kinds together in a fun and affordable venue. The San Francisco Chronicle’s Ron Hurwitt recently called them “a hot S.F. scene with keys to success.” I recommend the burger and a Sazerac (Rye and Absinthe). Cocktails are allowed (and encouraged) in both theater spaces.
We here at The Department salute your online and live entertainment choices and recommend enjoying (and sharing) the link with loved ones.
