Segway Has Finally Made Their Own Hoverboard And It’s Awesome
Remember that hoverboard craze last year? The one that’s sort of died out after a bunch of viral videos of people falling and batteries exploding started popping up? Well, the original people mover company ‘Segway’ seems to have perfected the ‘hoverboard’ concept, even though they were never really hoverboards in the first place. More like horizontal motorized skateboards.
Introducing the Segway ‘Ninebot‘ by Segway MiniPRO. It features a self balancing base with real air filled tires, break-lights, and a control bar that’s used for steering as opposed to the weigh-shifting of the feet that was used in previous ‘hoverboard’ models. It can also really get moving at up to 10 MPH for a range of 14 miles on a single charge. It takes around 4 hours to get a full charge. It isn’t cheap at an introductory price of $999, but you can buy it right now at Amazon for a limited time deal.
Also, did we mention the Ninebot can be remote controlled? That’s right, it comes with an app that lets you remote control it directly from your smartphone. This amazing feature has tons of benefits for film and video makers who want to get that professional panning style shot. Have a look at their promo video below and let us know how you would use the ‘Ninebot‘.
