Hackers Hit A Bunch Of Hotel Chains
Hackers may have stolen credit card info from 20 hotel chain locations. Hotels such as Hyatt, Sheraton, Marriott and Westin in 10 states and the District of Columbia may have been targeted by hackers for the past several months. HEI Hotels & Resorts says that malware put into place in at least 20 locations — including five in California — may have collected names, credit card account numbers, expiration dates and verification codes. Customer information may have been compromised between December-June. HEI also says that data collection may have begun as early as March 2015.
