Apple publishes first research paper on artificial intelligence
Apple’s artificial intelligence team just published their first research paper on intelligent image recognition technology. The paper discusses a technique that would allow a program to better recognize and decipher computer-generated images.
Researchers noted that “synthetic data is often not realistic enough,” and that creating realism is “computationally expensive.” The paper is likely to be the first of many reports published by Apple’s machine learning researchers in the future.
