A Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor boxing mega-fight is now closer to reality
Sound the alarms! Multiple reports emerged Tuesday stating that boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. and MMA champion Conor McGregor have agreed to terms on a proposed bout inside the squared circle. One report from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith alleges “Money” told him that the two sides are getting “very, very close” to the superfight.

Another report from British tabloid The Sun, citing a source close to McGregor, says that both parties have agreed to terms on a multimillion-dollar boxing match. McGregor, the UFC lightweight champ, and Mayweather, who retired in 2015 after he posted a 49-0 record, have both talked about the possibility of a mega fight for months.
