The New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer Swings In To Save A Franchise
Let’s be honest, kids: We haven’t had a good Spider-Man film since Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 3 was a disaster. The films with Andrew Garfield were atrocious. Then, Marvel figured crap out with Sony, and we got to see Spidey in Captain America: Civil War. How was he? Best part of the movie. They finally got him right. Tobey MaGuire was good, but he wasn’t actually a kid like in the comics. Tom Holland is the Peter Parker I’ve waited to see since watching the cartoon when I was little. The new trailer proves this.

Premise: Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.
Everything in the trailer looks like fun. I think Peter’s best friend could be the stand out in the film. I don’t think we’ve really seen Peter have an friends in any of the films, have we? It’s a lot better than watching Peter cry alone in his room or stalking Mary Jane. You’re creeping us out, man!
Sit back, click play on the trailer below, and be prepared to get the Spider-Man film we all deserve.
