After the 2016 election, Facebook announced it would be working with ‘fact-checkers’ to prevent users and websites from posting ‘fake news.’ It has since launched a fact-checking tool that warns users about false content in the articles they want to post.

When posting ‘fake news,’ various pop ups will warn users and direct them to Facebook’s official help page on disputed content. Twitter users have been debating about the new feature, with some referring to it as “bias” and a “left-wing outlet.”
