Americans spent $16 billion trying to look younger in 2016
Americans are going under the knife to the tune of billions of dollars. According to a recent report by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the nation spent a total of $16 billion on cosmetic treatments in 2016, including invasive and surgical procedures.

Over $7 million was spent on injection procedures, such as Botox. There were at least 200,000 nose reshaping, liposuction and breast augmentation procedures done in the last year. Whether it’s fighting aging, or a genuine desire to fix a trait, Americans are willing to dig into their pockets to improve their image.
