Deadpool Meets Cable In The 4th Wall Breaking Trailer For ‘Deadpool 2’
The first Deadpool movie proved that am R-rated comic book movie where the protagonist takes it from behind by his hooker girlfriend can indeed make hundreds of millions of dollars. That’s why the next X-Men film will feature an orgy in the mansion. Wait, scratch that, that’s a school for child mutants. Maybe the older X-Men in the Danger Room or something? Okay, none of that will happen.
This new Deadpool film has a lot to live up to if it want to match up to the first. I don’t think I’ve seen casting for a character more perfect than Ryan Reynolds. Both he and the character he plays are essentially the same guy. I knew it the moment Van Wilder came out.
Premise: After surviving a near fatal knee boarding accident, a disfigured guidance counselor (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Poughkeepsie’s most celebrated French Bulldog breeder while also learning to cope with an open relationship. Searching to regain his passion for life, as well as a new stuffed unicorn, Wade must battle ninjas, tight assed metal men, and babysit a group of stereotypical side characters as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and creative outlets for his very open-minded sex life. He manages to find a new lust for being a do-gooder, a sparkly Hello Kitty backpack, all while earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best 4th Wall Breaking Superhero.
Even the premise written for the film is ridiculous. The marketing machine behind this franchise is truly self-aware of everything.
The film is being directed by David Leitch from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Ryan Reynolds starring in the title role alongside Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, and Jack Kesy.
Deadpool 2 is scheduled to be released on May 18, 2018. You can watch the hilarious full trailer below.
