Jamie Lee Curtis Hunts The Hunter In The New ‘Halloween’ Trailer
In 1978, the film Halloween scared the hell out of audience with its terrifying protagonist hunting his sister around her neighborhood. The film led to many copycats, and it made Jamie Lee Curtis a superstar. Though sequels, prequels, reboots and other things have never met the same success as the original, a new official sequel to the first film is coming out with brother and sister going at it again for one last time.
Premise: Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers (Nick Castle returning after 40 years), the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Will this sequel breathe new life into the genre of the stalking serial killer who in almost unstoppable? Hopefully, it won’t be another one of those film situations where the star comes back and it ends up an “official” sequel like Terminator 3 or Terminator: Genesys. Let’s not forget Halloween: H20. Many things that were canon lately end up being thrown in the garbage and rebooted.
Original Halloween helmer and horrormaster John Carpenter returns to executive produce and be the creative consultant on the film with David Gordon Green taking up directing duties for the sequel.
The film co-stars Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, and Nick Castle. Halloween is coming to theaters on October 19, 2018. You can check out the chilling new trailer below.
