The First Trailer For ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ Has Ignited The Web
The timeline for all of the X-Men movies have blurred so much that it’s no longer necessary to understand what’s going on. There will be time travelling, explosions, magic, winks at other characters, and a post-credit scene. Who knows if this one will be the last one before Marvel finally takes over and merges it with the already bloated MCU. There’s a lot riding on this one.
X-Men: Apocalypse really let the franchise down again with its attempt at washing away the garbage that was The Last Stand, so maybe this film can finally do justice to the Phoenix storyline.
Premise: With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain. The film was written and directed by Simon Kinberg, and produced by Kinberg, Hutch Parker, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Todd Hallowell.
Dark Phoenix opens in theaters on February 14, 2019. Have a seat in your favorite chair and check out the trailer below:
