‘Saturday Night Live’ Holds Mini ‘The Office’ Reunion
Five years since the hit show ended in 2013, members of ‘The Office’ reunited. During Carell’s monologue on SNL, the actor took questions from people in the audience, which featured former stars from the hit series, Ellie Kemper, Jenna Fischer and Ed Helms.
When asked about a reboot, Carell said he doesn’t think it would be as good as the original.
“It was a great experience, I love all of those people, but I don’t think it’s the best idea. I think we should just leave it alone.” – Steve Carrell, on ’Saturday Night Live’
Kemper said she “needed the money” and Helms emphasized how much they would make.
“I don’t think you realize how much money. You wouldn’t have to do those sad
movies anymore.” – Ed Helms, on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Fischer jokingly reminded Carell the “last words Pam secretly whispered to Michael” on
the show.
“She said, ‘Steve don’t be a d—, do the reboot. Let’s just do the d— thing!” Jenna Fischer, on ‘Saturday Night Live’
His wife, Nancy Carell, also appeared on ‘The Office’ and joined in on the fun. While a reboot was not announced, fans got to see some of the gang together again when they joined Carell onstage.
