Facebook’s Matchmaking Feature Finally Debuts in the US
The service, which is called ‘Dating,’ was announced in 2018. We’ve been really slow, actually, with this rollout. “We really wanted to make sure we got it right because dating is so personal” – Facebook Dating Product Manager Charmaine Hung, via ‘CNN Business’.

If desired, Facebook users can hide or show their ‘Dating’ profile to friends and non-friends. With the platform’s Messenger app, you can also share your date location with a friend.
