Pfizer is seeking emergency use approval of its vaccine from the FDA. Data from Pfizer shows a swift immune response in patients to the vaccine following the first of two doses. The data shows efficacy of the vaccine against severe COVID-19 cases to be 88 percent following the first dose, . and then 95 percent following the second.
